Do you want to check whether your blog or website is ready for monetization? Then here is a checklist to help you comply with Google’s guidelines:
- You should have ownership rights of the blog you intend to monetize
- Or if you’re younger than 18, an elder can apply for AdSense on your behalf. But if the application gets approved, they will receive all future payments in their account until you become an adult

- The blog should have unique and original blogs
- Google will blacklist your website if you copy content from other sources

Millionaire By Morning team followed the above best practices. Thus, the process of blog monetization was straightforward for us aside from a few issues. You can use the same strategy to convert your blog into an extra source of income.
AdSense Application Process
We didn’t apply for an AdSense account until our website turned 2 years old.
You don’t have to wait this long. But don’t apply for an account right after launching your blog. Your website is new. So, it’s extremely likely that Google will reject your application. So, it’s best to focus on building your blog first.
Wait until your blog gets a few months old. Ideally, you should wait for at least 6 months.
During these initial months, don’t think about making money. Instead, create content that your target audience will want to read. Also, build a routine of regularly posting content 1-2 times or more a week. Then you can give AdSense a try.
To apply for a new account, you need a Gmail account. So, create one if you don’t already have an account. Then go to the Google AdSense website and log in with your Gmail account.
After Gmail account verification, the website will take you to the Get Started page. Here, you need to provide your website or blog’s name and link along with your payment country/territory. Be extra careful when entering this information and read the terms and conditions before submitting your application.
What to Do After Creating an AdSense Account?
Once you successfully create an AdSense account, the website will redirect you to the dashboard. Now, you need to follow the steps to start displaying ads on your blog.
First, provide contact information and the address of your business/blog. Second, configure how and where the ads should appear on your website. This is where you will find a code snippet. Lastly, add this AdSense code snippet to the head section of your blog.
Google may take up to 48 hours to review your website and ensure your blog is eligible and ready to display ads.
Problems We Faced
Millionaire By Morning blog has been around since 2022. Since day one, our focus has been on providing informative content to the community. We’ve helped future millionaires build a millionaire mindset and set up multiple sources of income with the help of our informative podcasts, blogs, and eBooks.
With our focus on building a community of future millionaires, we didn’t think about monetizing the blog until it turned two years old.
The process seemed straightforward when we started exploring AdSense. But we faced many problems as we began the process of monetizing this blog.
AdSense provides a code that needs to be added to the Head section of the blog. We couldn’t figure out how to do it. After watching multiple YouTube videos and going through detailed guides, we finally figured out we would need a WordPress plugin. So, we installed Header Footer Code Manager plugin and added the code to our website.
It took us 2-3 days to solve this problem, but we hope our guide can help you perform this task in just a few minutes.
As a result, a new tab labeled HFCM was created in our WordPress panel. It showed us that the code was added as a snippet in the Head section and its status is active.
After successfully adding the code, the approval process took a few days. But we finally got approval to monetize our blog via AdSense.
Wonder how to monetize your blog with AdSense? We hope this detailed guide has answered your questions. If you’re still stuck with any step, feel free to ask us questions in the comments section!
