The tech giants of the world are making plays and getting into positions for the metaverse. So, imagine a new world filled with fresh innovative ideas and opportunities.

Now imagine being the first to build on this opportunity. And being in the position to own a piece of that world. This is exactly what Microsoft has done by acquiring the gaming giant Activision Blizzard. Microsoft has acquired Activision Blizzard in preparation for Metaverse days.

Have you played well-known games Call of Duty, StarCraft, and Candy Crush? Then you may recognize this company as being the creator of these games along with plenty of other fun video games.

Microsoft is originally the maker of XBOX. Now they have found an extraordinary opportunity to acquire Activision Blizzard. Also, this deal came out during a time when the company was facing legal troubles.

Coming fresh off a lawsuit, their employees were somewhat frustrated and sought change. So, Microsoft figured it would be a good time to enter into this space. This way, they could increase market share in mobile gaming and the upcoming metaverse. Time will tell whether the strategy proves effective or if it’d be a lost cause.

The estimated value of the Microsoft deal is $68.7 billion.
